The birth of our daughter, Chloe Grace, was the spark which re-ignited our creative interest in photography and encouraged us to start a business. Our joy in digitally capturing those precious moments in our life together was something we wanted to share with others. There is something infectious about sharing images which celebrate God’s gift of life in those we love and care about.
Our work is a husband and wife team effort. Sometimes only one of us takes the actual photos, but you can be sure that the whole creative process of bringing them to print is something we both share in. Our differing perspectives and strengths help to enrich our approach to posing, lighting, capturing and digitally processing the images we print. Perhaps when Chloe is old enough she can be the deciding vote on those rare occasions when there is a creative dead lock! Still, we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Most of our portraiture is done in our purpose built home studio and landscaped garden. We prefer the flexibility and relaxed home studio environment for our portrait work. Of course, special arrangements can be made for specific locations and venues which are of special significance to you.

Shaggy Dog Productions is more of a shared passion than a photography business. A former school teacher, Susan is the lead photographer. Her eye for detail instills confidence and wonderfully complements David’s carefree approach. Susan loves being a mum, so much so, Susan has begun homeschooling Chloe.
David Booth
This photo of David was taken by Chloe when she was only 3 years old. Apart from being a proud dad and the clown of the team, David is particularly skilled in the use of Photoshop and the creation of digital paintings.
